CONCRETE: DEFENITIONS & APPLICATIONS.

Mpa: The Pascal (symbol:pa) is the si derived unit of pressure or also stress (also: Young's modulus and tensile strenghth). It is a measure of perpendicular force per unit area i.e. equivalent to one newton per square meter.

In simple terms (for concreteing purposes) Mega Pascal means the presure in which concrete can withstand before it cracks or breaks.

 15Mpa: Can be used for foot paths, Garden Shed floors, etc. Basicaly anywhere that has very light traffic, such as people or light weight impliments.

20Mpa: Can be used for Garage floors, Driveways etc. 20Mpa concrete is strong enough to support most cars and light 4WD viechles. Commonly used in various types of house slabs and pump sheds.

25Mpa: Can be used for Machinery Shed floors, Tank slabs etc. Can support Heavy tractors and other bulky farm equipment. 

32Mpa: Can support very heavey equipment, Large stationary motors etc. Usually used for industrial applcations.

40Mpa: Is the strongest concrete we supply. Used for industrial applications, Tilt up Pre Cast Panels etc.
